VAPING GUIDE.
The electronic cigarette industry has grown at an exponential rate since the very first model was invented in the early 2000’s. The range of vaping products is now huge, with products available to suit every taste. Health and government bodies worldwide are in agreement that vaping is much safer than smoking, not to mention cheaper! In our introduction to vaping we will cover the basic elements which cover every type of electronic cigarette (E-Cig) and how the process of vaping is made up of:
mAh stands for milliamp hours, which is basically a rating of the amount of time between recharges. The higher the mAh rating of your battery, the longer it takes before it dies
A (Amps)
A higher amp rating would allow the battery to produce more wattage. Power (watts) is volts x amps. Higher wattage will allow vapers to produce a thicker, fuller cloud of smoke.
Voltage
Voltage is what drives the current
Variable Voltage
Variable Voltage is when you can control the amount of power being driven to your atomizer. A higher voltage generally means thicker vapour is produced.
Please check carefully if a particular battery is suitable for your e-cig before purchase. If you are unsure about compatibility please contact us before purchase. You must also ensure to follow the correct charging procedure for your batteries. Safety must always be paramount when dealing with rechargeable batteries.
The tank (also known as a clearomizer or cartomizer) is the part of the electronic cigarette in which the E-Liquid is stored. In most e-cig designs the coil (atomizer) is also housed within the tank component. Different electronic cigarettes have different methods of refilling the tanks with E-Liquids so be sure to follow the relevant instructions to ensure correct use. Due to the recent update of the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) to provide new regulations for the electronic cigarette, the maximum available tank size for any e-cig in the UK is 2ml. This is still plenty big enough for hours of vaping. Tanks are very easy to refill when required. The tip of e-cig which you actually inhale through is found on top of the tank of the majority of electronic cigarettes.
E-Liquids are the ‘juice’ that you fill your electronic cigarette with to vape. The E-Liquid is vaporized by the coil and inhaled. E-Liquids are available in an enormous range of flavours and can be bought in varying nicotine strengths. E-Liquid generally consists of the following ingredients:
Propylene Glycol (PG):
Propylene Glycol is high-quality pharmaceutical grade, in combination with the nicotine and flavours this gives you more of a throat hit.
Vegetable Glycerine (VG):
Glycerine helps to produce more vapour and holds more flavour. VG is thicker in consistency than PG.
E-Liquids may also contain nicotine. This may be measured in milligrams (mg) or in the percentage of the overall content of the bottle (for example 0.6% nicotine in a 10ml bottle would be equivalent to 6mg).
